What is wrong with that? Shit, my family is full of fucking racists scum. You think these families don't exist? There isn't one mixed person in my family.

They should 100% be sued if they can't properly give out the correct sperm. that is EXACTLY the point of using a sperm bank.

That's not the point, this women is using her fears that her community and family MIGHT be intolerant of her daughter in the future, she's prejudging that all these people will act racist, she doesn't know that as fact, it's just her fear.

On what do you base that assumption?

Racists/homophobes are rarely rational. Why would the ones in her town be any different? Religious nutjobs could be into that whole man/woman = marriage thing but might have no racist tendencies.

I'll go with "c" as well, but if she has indeed experienced bigotry in her community then she is not "prejudging".

Seeing as she's half of a lesbian couple, she may have a very sound basis for her fears.

It was wrong for them to give him a black donor. Clearly she didn't want that. If this was done by mistake then it was a huge error on their part and they need to be sued to make this right. And if it was done on purpose, then that makes things even worse.

Just making the assumption based on communities I've lived in.  Predominantly white people,  many of the people I knew that were racist were more often than not,  homophobic as well.

That community could very well be tolerant of homosexuals but just based on my experience that was never the case.

You make a good point about those kind of people not being rational though.

This lawsuit is actually not racist. In essence, these two lesbians are calling their community racist, and are using that as the basis behind the lawsuit.

They're fucking lesbians for crying out loud, I have no idea why they're living in such a rural community in Ohio in the first place. They're ALREADY being judged for their actions!!!!

They should at least get enough money from the lawsuit to pack up and move to somewhere like New York or San Francisco where they'll be treated with open arms, and land enough money from the lawsuit to live there for 6-12 months until they find jobs.

They do have right to sue, if I hand-picked out a gorgeous Brazilian man, and got some fat albino's seed instead, I'd be royally pissed too.

This is kinda fucked up. It blows my mind that people still seperate others because of skin color. Even if the sperm bank did fuck up accept it, this is a child that they brought into the world. What if some straight parents had a child from a donor and he/she turned out to be gay and they started saying shit like this.
