New To Cultivaton

Hey so i'm a first timer and I think I may have ran into a problem. I did the rice cake method without vermiculite except i did just water and brown rice flour. Should this be ok or should i just start over using Brown rice and water?

I would go and start some new ones. You also need a layer of verm on top for a filter.

EDIT: You also want to stay with the brown rice flower not whole brown rice for PF tek.

Taking shortcuts won't work especially since this is your first go at cultivating. Follow instructions exactly

I am new to  this so  bear with me just using brown rice flour. I think thats where I fucked up maybe I should've just used brown rice.

yes just the brown rice or verm with the flour, if your gonna go whole grain though i'd use wbs..

What do you guys think i should do? Wait or start a new jar? I mean i do have fuzzy looking stuff but since ive never seen mycelia in growth stages idk if its mycelia or fuzzy white mold

:wow:  PF is asking what you're using as a filter for gas exchange between your jars and the outside world.  They can't just be trapped inside the jar with out filter holes on top.. Vermiculite is used as a top layer filter between the holes in your lid and your spawn...

You fucked up. You are not supposed to use just brown rice flour. The vermiculite is a very important ingredient because not only does it provide other nutrients to the cake it also creates space in the substrate for mycelium to colonize. You have a LOT more reading and planning to do before you will become successful in cultivating these spiritual medicines. Please stop being such a nOOb and do yourself a favor.. do some research for once.

I have holes in the jar. PleAse do not call me a noob.i do not appreciate it i have alreaxy mentionex i fucked up. This was my first time and of course I'm not going to be perfect.
