My spiritual guide is a Native American Indian and his companion wolf. I'm not Native American but I've always felt a connection and deep interest in their culture. My aunt whose a medium told me this was my spirit guide and I was shocked. I always knew I had a connection. After that I got into meditation and practiced riki on myself to open my third eye. I came close but didnt feel the time was right in my life for that, summer was ending and darkness was coming (winter). I thought it would e best to hold off until sunshine...

I still talk to him at times in my head and I always feel very clear after contacting a spirit guide. Almost feels like a body cleanse

First of all, as a Christian who believes that God spoke through many Old Testament prophets is certainly beyond me to say I don't believe it is possible for a human being to receive some kind of verbal communication from the heavenly realms.

However, I really dislike the new age phenomenon known as "channeling" where you have all sorts of people all over the internet claiming to be the mouthpiece or messenger of Jesus Christ, Mother Mary, or the Buddha. This really disturbs me, especially because having been involved with the new age movement at one point, I know enough to know that many of these channelers receive information witch directly contradicts the information received from other channelers even though it is supposedly coming from the same spiritual being. This obviously means a good number of them are either frauds or unknowlingly channeling some other being.

In addition to that, many new age channels seem all too eager to sell books and merchandise and seem to channel an inordinately large amount of information, sometimes posting new messages every week or more often. I really question whether the heavenly host has that much to say to us and would not prefer it that we simply study and act upon what has already been revealed in the Holy Bible and through the saints. Also, rather than beauty and intricacy of holy scripture, channeled information tends to sound exactly like the person who channeled it.

Anyway these days I avoid channeled information and stick to revelations through saints, if I want to read something beyond what is contained in the Bible or other classic Christian texts like the Imitation of Christ. These differ from channeling in that there is usually far less information, it is not for sale and it the person it came through was closely scrutinized by his or her superiors and the church. The channeled information on the internet instead comes from people who are self proclaimed channels. They have no superiors to inform us on whether this person leads a truly moral, religious life and surprise surprise, they often have lots of things they would like to sell us. I also believe that is why Jesus is such a popular being to channel even though new agers claim he is no more special than any other "ascended master". They want to use his fame to sell their work, because people are much more interested in reading revelations "from Jesus" than from some random spiritual being theyve never heard of.

It is selfhealing.. the spiritguide in essense is an enlightened being.. life manifest.. when healing others you want them to get in touch with the spirit guide. Getting in touch yourself has a similar effect.. i dont think the spirit guides actually heal.. that they do it automaticly, as when open to them, it is their nature to realign.

Well said. really, new age stuff is kinda garbage to me now. I actually contacted my guide without even reading a single thing about channeling. Thats why i made this thread cuz i dont trust anything out there about channels.

But one thing ive learned, some entitys will help you, they may help you become more telepathic and aware. But they arent always the highest good . Pleadians for example, ive read a lot of times they can be a little too involved in a way that they might want to stand out, take the show, show off. It needs to be unconditional love.

But yea, i hate that garbage about people channeling ascended masters and stuff. Like have tou heard of the summit lighthouse? Its such bs lol
