I think the reason why most people don't dry using higher temperatures than room temperature, is because the active alkaloid in mushrooms degrades under influence of heat. So it's best to dry the mushrooms at as low a temperature as possible. That's why most people first fan-dry and then completely dehydrate the mushrooms using desiccants. This is also a very low-cost and effective manner of drying. But no doubt the oven-teks work very well too.

Fan for 24 hours over a box fan, then in a damprid chamber for 1-2 days.
