If he knows it's your dads bike he might be scared into giving it back to you out of fear of your father :shrug:

This kid sounds like a person that needs a face to face conversation to really understand that they do not have as much power as they think. I say give him a knock on the door.

Don't just take his word for truth, he may be bullshitting to keep you off his back. Call the police regardless, tell him you're calling the police if he can't produce you the bike; it'll put pressure on him to either give it to you or find it.

If a 15 year old nicked the bike then the dispute is between you and the little bastards parents.

Go to the parents, tell them if the bicycle is not returned you will call social services and the Gardai about their child. As shitty as knacker parents from Dublin can be, none will want Gardai and the HSE showing up at their front door.
