straw log contams

anyone have any success fighting green mold on a straw log? it hasn't been birthed yet, but it is fully colonized

A good way to fight a contam is to never get one.
a good measure would be to toss anything that IS contaminated. Those contams are tricky, they'll burst everywhere and you'll just keep having problems. Other than that, you could attempt h2o2 attacks on it.

green mold on straw=hopeless.

you might get fruits but its still a waste of time. if its a big enough cake (like out of a brownie pan and not cased) or casing as SOON as you see anything cut it away. tring to scrape it off is no good, take a knife, sterilize it with alcohol and heat and hack away 3-4" around the green that you see. before its grreen the spores are very small, white, and not plentiful enough to notice but they are around there..
