My first trip was around 10am on a bright summers day at a caravan sight in Amsterdam with a wonderful view of the grass, trees and bright blue sky.. It was beautiful.

My second trip was at night, and I found that at the end of it I very much had a sense that I wanted to snap my fingers, and have the sun rise, get out my newspaper, drink a coffee... Set the day off. But I couldn't. I'd come down, and I just had to... wind down and sleep. And that was quite irritating. I also found it kinda scary being at night, too eerily quiet and still.

That's just me though. But I reckon I woulda liked it if it was still daylight when I came down. The second trip was indoors btw.

Perseonally, I would never shroom in the morning, it's just too early..

I prefer to start my shroom trip around 7-8 p.m. during summer

So I can see the sunset, and enjoy nature, and then as my trip is coming to an end it gets darker.


I have never shroomed during winter though.

Hella old thread being revived here, but I'm a day tripper and I usually dose first thing when I wake up. Salvia at night though. :mushroom2:

you sound like the complete opposite of me,

I would never shroom first thing waking up, that would be too strange for me..


And I prefer doing Salvia Mid Day, preferably during summer/spring/fall.

I'm considering dosing some LSD at like 4 or 5 in the morning sometime this month. That way I get some cool night time feel to the start of the peak and I can just sit and stretch quietly and meditatively. Get to watch an amazing colorful sunrise over the mountains and then have the rest of the morning early afternoon to readjust to reality. Go on some hikes and short walks and jam out on my bass without waking anyone up.

I think it sounds fun!

Night. For several reason..

I never really get visuals during the day, I have no idea why. My only window is covered up, so it's not like the daylight has anything to do with it directly. It also feels better for some reason, like a more memorable experience. I'm happier and I'm having more fun. Then there's also the fact that at night there's not people running and stomping around through the house or making a bunch of noise. That shit aggravates me sober, it pretty much can destroy my trip. It puts me in a bad mood quick, which isn't something I want to be in when I'm tripping.

If I want a mystical experience filled with visuals, I do it at night. If i want to experience bliss and the wonder of the world I do it during the day.

in the summer around afternoon. I view the cycles as in the daytime is playful tripping, and at night, it's really calming and thinking, less..physical tripping, and more mental? idk how to describe it.

I tripped once at night before on 25i nbome and had about the worst trip ever at least for me.
I tripped many times in the afternoon and had the best trips of my life.

Is this just me possibly or is this common among fellow trippers? :ooo:

Depends on a ton of factors, mate. Some of my most enjoyable trips was during the night.

I can't really choose. If it's DMT I prefer daylight. If it's shrooms, when the night starts coming up is what I like. Acid I prefer night trips.

I like tripping at night and going down to the beach, so calm and tranquil and it has a more introspective quality to it.

Night for me all the way. Darkness is pretty much the only time I'll get true visuals from mushrooms. I think people who resign themselves to day tripping on mushrooms are missing out on the true potential. There's a reason that they are traditionally taken in the dark.

Mescaline on the other hand, I prefer day tripping.

I like to start early in the evening when its still light out, especialy with acid.

Experiencing the sunrise is pretty much mandatory for me when tripping. Its the perfect symbolisation of sanity once again taking control.

Also I should not be allowed in public whilst tripping, and at night its a lot more quiet.

I've found darkness, especially total darkness to be preferable with high doses. To visually see the physical world tear apart can be quite stressful, sort of like in Flatland where the sphere takes the square into the third dimension and he becomes terrified.

My first time trying boomers was at night by the water. Totally epic, all the trees turned into the most beautiful spider web doily patterns. Creatures lurked in the shadows and raced across the street which was fairly discomforting, after that it was total bliss.

It's amazing to be out in the country with a full moon or fairly full. There is just enough darkness with the moonlight that will pierce straight into you.

Wow- I'm surprised to hear that from someone as experienced as you. Maybe I'll have to give a daytime shroom trip a try again. I've been taking them at night for so long, I hardly remember what it was like.
