building a flowhood, will this blower work?

freind gave me a draft inducer dealio that he had, wondering if this wil work for the flowhood i plan to build. anyone know?

Really? How are you able to know this without knowing what kind of filter he has?

Some people just talk out of their ass, and should never give advice.

That blower might work for a small filter, but this all depends on the specs of the blower, and the requirements of the filter.

You need the data sheet for both to know for sure.

It is always best to find a filter, then match a blower to it.

Why can you not just get a blower and then get a filter to match the hood he is building?

Because the filters we use require a blower with a certain output under static pressure to create a "Laminar Flow".

You get that figure from the filter you buy, then you know what kind of blower you need.

Without any data on it or a filter, you cannot say if that blower will or will not work for him.

Well I agree completely to that, however, he should have no problem matching a filter to fit that blower....Filters are aplenty usually. I see what you were saying now, I was confused.

I looked up the blower before posting by the way.
