Thanks for the suggestions,  keep them coming.

I definitely need a new text message app,  just for the bigger keyboard.
the stock app on my phone works fine, I just can't type for shit.  I've been using the voice recognition to type texts.

How are you liking the Galaxy s3 Shlong?

I got a galaxy rugby pro.  heavy chunky thing. supposed to be able to get it wet without fucking it up too bad. it was on sale.

It has just about everything I could hope for
Took a week to figure the whole thing out for the most part.
I was really used to having a physical keypad, so that was a major change, but all and all I give it 5 shrooms.

Might want to check out "TuneIn Radio".

I use that on my old Ipod and it streams, "70,000 stations and 2 million shows".
I use to listen to radio stations, podcasts, and internet radio like radioIO dead (24 hour grateful dead) of other reggae  stations from around the world.

That reminds me, Gun Talk Radio is on.

Yeah I use that one a lot.    I also like Scanner Radio for when i hear sirens I can get the 411 on whats going on.  Police, fire, sheriff, and emergency dispatch streams. But apparently that can also be done over TuneIn... Heck I use TuneIn on my pc too. I also like using Raindar for good storm tracking.

I've tried all the major SMS apps (Crunch, GoSMS, Handcent, etc.) GOSMS is definitely the best in terms of features...
But goddamn is it buggy sometimes. A lot of times I'll get double texts (even with the stock messenger disabled). Or pics don't send/receive properly.
Also it has a tendency to freeze or crash if I'm sending a text the same time one is coming in.. it's got a lot of little annoyances
But I stick with it because.. well it's still better than the stock app and the others I've tried. But I hope they fix some of the issues.

The new Facebook Messenger app is amazing.  Chat heads are one of the slickest, smartest ideas since smartphones.

I didn't know it was updated... but ya I use that for facebook chatting, and it's super smooth. Never any problems like I mentioned with GOsms. shit freezes a lot.

I agree with that. I have problems sending any pictures that have any kind of post editing done to them (like using HDR Camera app on a pic).

That's also another app worth looking at, the HDR Camera app. It takes 3 pictures of a scene at different exposures and averages values producing a much, much more vibrant picture. Only thing is whatever you're taking a picture of has to be pretty much stationary (think landscapes).

HDR Camera

I don't know if any of these have been mentioned but these are a few of my favorites:

JuiceDefender (can set up profiles to conserve battery more efficiently)
Titanium Backup Pro - (HIGHLY recommended). Backup all your data and apps. Freeze apps. Etc.
APK Installer - For installing .... .apk files
ROM Toolbox - Good for backing up ROM , installing ROMs, testing etc.
HD Widgets - Makes your own cool custom switches/toggles/headers/calender/clock
Google Authenticator - Make your gmail account even more secure, requires a 2 step verification to log in
BetterBatteryStats - If you have problems with stuff eating your battery too fast and you don't know why. Get this app. It tells you exactly what processes / programs are eating battery life, and how much.
BatteryCalibrator - To re-calibrate the battery every once in a while. Especially after flashing a ROM or replacing battery.

You can use FB messenger for texting too though.

Why would you need an app to install APKs?  You just click on them and they install.

Because sometimes when you download .apks they don't install through the normal method so you have to use a workaround

Really?  So you browse to it, click on it, and just nothing happens?

That's why I got the app if I recall, some apk files I downloaded, wouldn't install through the normal methods.
