I like a decent weather and radar map app too..
I used one called WFSA weather and change the location and shut off the status bar icon.

best ten bucks i've ever spent. i manage three accounts to the penny. it's just a register so it's not linked to anything. but you can set up budgets, bill reminders and edit transactions to re-balance everything instantly. if managing money is your weak spot, this is a good starting point. even if you're great with money this is a highly useful app imo.

Might want to check out "TuneIn Radio".

I use that on my old Ipod and it streams, "70,000 stations and 2 million shows".
I use to listen to radio stations, podcasts, and internet radio like radioIO dead (24 hour grateful dead) of other reggae  stations from around the world.

That reminds me, Gun Talk Radio is on.

Here are some good replacement apps for stock apps:

Dolphin Browser HD (for interwebs)
Go Pro SMS (for texting)
Mobo Player (for videos)
Winamp (for musics, I paid $4.99 for the Pro version because it has an equalizer)

Dolphin is nice because it has tons of features that the stock browser doesn't, like porn mode and skins and gestures and voice search.

Go SMS is amazing. You can download themes/skins, you can block texts, it has a private folder were you can send conversations from certain people and they can't be read without entering a password, it has a pop up thing so you can read the message without opening the app, you can set custom sounds and vibrations for people, you can enable group chat, and shitloads of other cool features.

Mobo Player just seems to work better than the stock media player and seems to support more formats. Plus it has gestures you can do to turn the volume up and down and some other ones I haven't learned yet.

Winamp pretty much works just like Winamp on a computer. Far superior way to play musics on your phone. The pro version is totally worth the money, IMO.

Why a new texting app over stock?

I had to buy (3.99) a new keyboard for my Samsung galaxy s3 because it didn't have predictive text and a few other things.
I bought "swiftkey"  and love it.  You can do a ton of personalizing the keypad and text. I enjoy being about to change the display themes and colors.

For my LIVE WALLPAPER I downloaded "3d mushroom garden"

i have the skyrocket s2 and i'm happy with my keyboard. i'm on ICS though so it might be better.

I've been using an HTC merge for the past few years that has a slide out keyboard. Its been a shitty learning curve getting used to these types of keyboards. Especially seeing how all my posts here and 98% of my browsing is done via phone.

The Go SMS just has so many more useful features than stock messaging app. It's definitely worth it.

The phones browser.
Tried dolphin browser but didn't see much of a need for it.

This has incognito mode, so it may be a chrome off chute perhaps.
