hehe!
You MUST wait to fully colonize.
Then put in a terrarium and let it fruit....
Don't try casing if you ever got mushrooms from cakes...

I lost half(6) of my cakes to caseing contams. I also got many more shrooms from
the cakes first flush than caseing. Although the 2nd flush the caseing produced
more. I will prob not case again. or at least not for a long time. I would have
gotten many more shrooms off 12 cakes rather than losing 6 cakes to contams. :smile:

Here's an idea that works well, from what I hear. Roll your cake in damp vermiculite. Don't cover like a casing, but something in the verm makes them want to pin. My buddy had one that had 70 pins in just a few days.

So you're recommending just rolling each cake around in some damp vermiculite, like you're breading a chicken breast or something? Do you cover the cake in vermiculite on all sides, or just the tops and bottoms?
