This is a talking/expressive part of the human experience as i see it, obviously we still have a need for verbal communication at this point

A silent individual could be a reflection of a calm clear mind and inner dwelling but the opposite effect is also true in which the mind is so loud it renders the individual unable to speak out of fear i.e Social anxiety

A vow of silence at this point would be like repression to most people

Once inner silence is met Outer silence is achievable, its phoney baloney if your a silent puppet to your own mind , which is the more common case of the 2 in Silent people at this point in existence.

I find talking to be a rather euphoric distraction that complements any sort of high.

One of the greatest holy men of India (in my opinion, and those of many I know anyways) Ramana Maharshi was known to spend great lengths of time in silence and spoke very little. In India silence is considered a very holy act.

Has anyone read The Kin of Ata Are Waiting For You? It's a really interesting book about a people who barely speak and seem to dream communally. I've only read the first 2 chapters, but it was really interesting.

the prairie dog compresses sound into single multi-leveled sound or voice or burst of sound ("tjip-tjip!") - their communication is figured to be adjective and noun in one sound - as in a compressed sentence - ie. they say tjirp in a special way and it means big coyote headed right example
