A drug that gets me as high as I want with no bad side effects or tolerance buildup is a miracle drug.
What OP posted is just a crutch for people dumb enough to get a virus.

Are you a real life bubble boy? How do you not get exposed to pathogens? I still get a cold every year, at least.

Sounds great but I am skeptical.

It seems like every few months a news story like this comes along about a so-called "miracle drug" only to fade later on. The pharms have a lot of money to spend on marketing and a million mouthpieces in the media. Only later come the stories of side effects and lawsuits.

If you are developing a cold, I suggest taking elderberry. It has some good science behind it, is natural, and has cured every cold or flu I ever had when taken within 24 hours of onset. It appears to work by making slippery the "hooks" viruses use to attach to healthy cellls for infection.

I'll monitor for news of this ever-promising new cure, while sticking to my time-tested remedy that has seen centuries of safe and effective use. In fact, I'm taking some right now after seeing signs of a developing cold. Elderberry has stopped it in its tracks, as it has my previous two colds.

This may be legit research, but this article fails for two reasons.

One, it uses the word "miracle" in the title.

Two, the photo accompanying the article is a capsule that has no contents:

Or maybe the shit is ineffective like Tamiflu but some influential person like former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld convinces the government to buy shitloads of an ineffectual product...

But that could never happen..
