Yo Frank could post a picture of where you put your fan exactly? It would be easier to understand distance and angle.

Hey guys, was just curious what I would need to do to optimize my 90 QT tubs.. Should I not use them and just buy 66 QT tubs? Do I just spread it thinner with the 90 QT tub? Thanks!

You will have an easier time using 66qts. If you do use the 90 use more sub/spawn don't spread it thin.

Great Post!!
I'm giving this a try, but instead of polyfill I used a bit of the laminar flow hood pré-filter material. I ripped it apart and it looks like poly fill.

I'm Just wandering, would a small bathroom window opened replace the fan?

The bathroom is small and the window is right across the tube on a higher level than the tube. There's only a small breeze coming from there but it provides enough FAE to the room itself.

Hey Frank,
Im working with 27qt monotubs using a 50/50 coir and verm substrate with added gypsum. I spawn at 1:1 using grass seed. My ambient room temp is around 70.

So, my tubs seem to dry out really quick, by the time I get to 60% colonization or so the sub is nearly dry and I have needed to dump 500ml of water or more into the tub to bring the moisture back up. Then after this Ill notice very small fruits and very uneven pinning. The humidity doesnt seem to be holding high very well either, I need to mist 3+ times a day. All of my fruits mature and the cap breaks before they are over 4 inches tall and their all skinny little fruits. What am I doing wrong? I followed this tek and damions coir tek to the T.

Do you think 6 QT jar's will be enough for a 90 QT monotub? Otherwise I'm going to buy a couple 66 QT tubs...

Yah just play with your spawn/sub ratio until you get a depth around 4 inches.

I went ahead and bought 66QT tubs just so I could keep the bigger ones for incubating my QT jars. The room I'm storing my inoculated jar's in varies from 68-75. It's day 7 with no growth, when should I get worried?

No need to incubate at those temps bud. Get them out of the incubator
