NO PINS???

hi all - jars have been incubating for almost a month, most are fully colonized but on some spots there isn't much mycelium.  it's due to uneven inoculation.  don't have alot more time, also no pinning after 2 weeks. what to do??? ok to birth w/ tiny uncolonized spots??? thanks :mushroom2:

Yeah, not many people really pin inside their jars. I think thats one of the weknesses of the PF TEK, they don't make it clear that you need light to initiate pins even in the jars. I thought that somehow they just magically formed lol.

yeah and if you pin in the jars it is almost imposible to get the cakes out of the jar if you pin too much inside the jars.In fact all your mushrooms really need is a few minutes of light a day to grow. All they need the light for is to know which way is up so they know which way to grow, but the amount of light given will not affect wether you get mushrooms or not.The heigth of your mushrooms will also not be determined by the amount of light provided. Sometimes mushrooms will grow longer if they have less light
