I try not to post stupid Q's b/c someone once said stupid Q's are those that are never asked...besides I don't like to piss anyone off by botherin w/ things that have already been answered or is easy enough to do a lil experimenting.

Dont worry that is mycelium, cant you all see the rhizomo- (can't spell it) growth? If you are using the shroom wizard's tek you are probably not providing at humidity. Considering that hese are the winter months it it most likely very dry around your house. You must make some kind of humidifier thingy. If you ahve perlite you can use that. If you dont you can put it into a container and spray the walls with mist every once in a while and keep in some kind of tupperware container or something. And remember to fan 1-4 times a day.

Looks good. Sometimes my casings continue colonizing with too much vigor after a cold shock. i just patch lightly with some more casing material, this is optional. i think you should put some saran wrap over that to keep humidity up for pin formation, giving fresh air as often as you can. your temp sounds spot on for pinning(i wouldn't call it incubating). i think you'll see hyphal knots within a few days.

I don't know what are hyphal knots are. I have pix from a diff casing I have and I have it growin in a tupperware tub. I would upload the pix, but it still won't let me upload em. Will do asap.

That last pic of the mug on your site is good, its much more clear. Definetly mycelium, so its been cased for weeks? Damn, thats a long time, should be pinning soon, how are you providing humidity?

It still isn't pinning after weeks!? You must raise the humidity some. Put that mofo in a plastic container. If you dont have a container with transparent top wrap it with plastic wrap.

I'm gonna get some perlite and add it to the bag. I took it outta the fridge for the coldshock, and it's doing a lil more colonizing of the top layer. Any other tips for initiating them to pin?

At least one hour of light a day. Perlite is what I use, look to my avator for a pic. I just put that thing in a tupperware shoebox and when I give it light and wrap the top of the shoebox with plastic wrap.

Why don't you put it in a terrarium? All you can do to iniate pinning is temp in the mid 70s, light, air exchange, and humidity. You can cold shock, but you already did that, and you can mist until the primordia starts to form.

Yeah more beginners luck !  :wink:
I agree with 6E and Skikid ... raise and maintain humidity , if you keep putting in the fridge to much it may become hibernative , not bad thing , but does not allow fruiting .  :cool:

ps . If real desperate and poor , get a five gallon bucket and use as a grow chamber , mist and perilite to humidify , get creative to adjust temps . The bag thingy with perilite sounds troublesome .

i put them in a box w/ perlite, so it should hopefully start pinnin soon. I will post pics on my site asap.

ok, so I when ahead and put them in the fruiting chamber and I'm tryin to innitiate pinning now, by bumpin the humidity up w/ perlite, but the only prob is that I can't get it any higher than 90 and the FAQ says to have it between 95-100 so what now? I have it 2 inches deep with 1/2 inch water/peroxide mix just like the FAQ says. It just doesn't say what to do if it doesn't get up there. :wink:
