Differently in different times, but if you're a tall, fit guy in nice clothes and a nice car, you don't need much personality. 

If you aren't actually rich and attractive you have to convey those qualities in other ways. Example - climber or snowboarding jock...rodeo cowboy...pro poker player...not rich or flawless, but interesting and independent, and hence seldom sleeping alone.


Prime example? Musicians. Generally utter douchebags, but they command attention and that's usually enough.

Stunted nice guys think too much about what they don't have, and not enough about why women want those things and what they have that can give her the same feeling.

Look, i know in your heads women are bitches that don't get how good of a boyfriend you'd be. And maybe that's true? But women don't like whiny little bitches.
