I see arrogance as "offensive display of superiority or self-importance; overbearing pride.", as it is defined.  To each their own, but to me this is a turn off.  And you know what they say, like attracts like.  Perhaps my idea of arrogance is different from iThink's.

I think as you get older, arrogance to the point of being offensive is less and less desirable as women are more eager to settle down with one person.
