LOL! i still think that's a pretty fair charge, Swamster. After all, she's only doing it to make herself more appealing to you,,,,,,, Although their may even be sinister motives behing THAT, i don't know....

I never said women aren't shopping addicts, they are. My point is girls are not interested in knowing the simbiotic relation between them and a mall, notice the subject of the thread, "why no girls?" .... well, it looks like i'm not the only one loosing sex appeal ....
Besides, arguing about stereotipes is faulty, everybody knows there are exceptions, not all women are like Marge S. and not all man are like Homer S.. Let's say women have a more specific taste.

in general there are far more guys than girls at the shroomery so if you look at a forum that might not draw a girls attention in the first place and consider how little girls there are at the shroomery overall, you see why hardly any post here.

You understand you just did nothing other than re-state the question at hand, right?

More chicks. That's what I'd like to see in this forum...that's about the only thing that I think keeps it off balance. Too much testosterone or something.

Good to see some females in this thread! Try and stick around... we need the nurturing goddess presence to maintain a balance.

In general, we need more girls that are interested in mycology and philosophy. If there are no girls, there will be no contest to our theories or beliefs.

ATTENTION! : THE FOLLOWING POST IS BEING MADE UNDER MY NAME BY MY LADY.

The attitutes expressed by Swami are a perfect example of why there are few women on this forum. Modern women are thinkers and I often have wonderful discussions with friends, many of whom are women. Modern women, however, have zero tolerance and no patience with sexist, arrogant, narrow-minded, and adolescent attitudes. It is shame that this forum does not present a more hospitable environment for women. My perception is that there is a lack of balance. There is a certain wisdom, intelligence, and compassion that is associated with the feminine (note: the feminine aspect can be exemplified by both men and women). These attributes often in short supply on the Shroomery. What can be done to correct this imbalance? Now, this is a question to ponder!

Whoa, big guy. Didn't you just get all bent out of shape in another forum for someone jumping to conclusions about you?! (The mote in the eye and all that. Please actually READ and UNDERTSTAND your Bible.)

I have never once been called a sexist by a woman in 30 years of dating, yet you feel free to do so because I made a true statement which is different than an attitude.

"Malls predominantly cater to women because they do the lion's share of shopping."

TRUE or FALSE?

"Most IT professionals and computer enthusiasts are men."

TRUE or FALSE?

Your post mostly reeks of emotional residue from some previous encounter. But then Christian forgiveness is just another myth.

Ask Acidic_Sloth how she feels about me? Ask her if I did not greatly encourage her in P.M.s (with no ulterior motive) to post here more often? Ask her if she feel that I am a sexist?

*Warning: your emotionalism is showing.*
Attack me for what I said, not what you think I might believe.

They belong to the kitchen, that's their home !!!!
Never said nor implied that. I am a great cook and proud of it. (Have taken many culinary classes over the years. I love Mediterranean style dishes!)

Well, not only Swami, my first contact with acidic sloth was this question:
"Are you hot ?"
Putting my name in that sentence can be VERY misleading and is a cheap tactic. I have never asked anyone on the shroomery if they were hot.

Swami is a great guy. It's true that he encourages my sorry ass to post here more often. But being my timid self, I find it hard to talk about anything here that has any relevence to the topic. I don't feel that he is a sexist piggie [giggles at piggie], he just expresses himself in the wrong ways sometimes. After reading many of his very imformative posts, I've come to know that he is a very brilliant individual with wonderful ideas.

He's a great guy, really. I consider him a friend.

Hey Dude - I capitalized my disclaimer, so don't attack ME. I put my Lady on the keyboard. That was HER response, not mine. I merely read your little post to her about women accepting things, and that little ditty about shopping. Now, m'Lady is a total grown-up, and a stone fox! She is also a Cornell graduate and a University of Maryland M.B.A.. Most of all, she shares her day-to-day existence with me, and is my equal, so feel free to respond to her. Maybe I can get another female on this forum just by a feminine obligation to deal with posters like you!

As to Christian forgiveness, I have that insofar as it cancels that underworldly urge for vengeance, and leaves a kind of detachment or indifference. It is not some absurdly saccharine " I will love everyone...I will love the police as they beat the s**t out of me on the street..." that Frank Zappa parodied in the 60's. But that's MY take on Christian forgiveness. As I said, that was HER response. I don't hide behind a woman's skirt. If that was MY response, I would have said so. If I think you're a beligerent dick, I'll say so.

Great! I really need the money. All the money I have right now is going to 1/4 which I'm going to pick up right now. I shall return in a bit!

Love you, Swami!
