HUGE YIELDS * 1
    #1560407 -

Now that I have your attention.

Novices keep asking about YIELDS off this, that & the other thing.

No two strains, spawn, substrate are the same. Nor is the amount of spawn, the size of the substrate, the nutrient content of the substrate, the casing materials, the procedures, methods, temperature, humidity & environment in which any mushroom is grown.

Given those facts & such a wide degree of variables. It is impossible to estimate what any one yield will be.

As an example. You can give two people an identical kitchen & amount of raw material with which to make a large gourmet meal.

One person may prepare, cook & serve a perfect appetizing meal.

The other persons results may differ so vastly the whole meal he prepared smells & looks like fried fecal matter. :ooo:

Don't worry about YIELDS. Worry about getting your methods, procedures & circumstance down to the degree that you end up with some fully developed mushrooms. Then, knowing a bit about it, step up to more advance bulk methods & your YIELDS will increase, as your experience does.

rofl..  Nice post 6T, but I don't think it will stop the flurry of yield questions unless this is made sticky and the title is changed. And even then the chances are low. But hey - good post!

Hey, what would my yield be if I grow any strain on any substrate on variable conditions?

If I didn't ask, someone else would have just to be a smart ass. People will always ask silly or researchable questions, but thanks for the efforts.

LOL, that is easy to answer.

The answer is: YOUR YIELD WILL VARY. Sometimes NONE, sometings SOME & sometimes MORE.

Whend you become mod status?? A foaf says he gets about 7 grams per quart of substrate on 1st flush. I think If you use the same substrate yourself, that after time you can find out your average yeilds. Do you feel that certain cubes yeild more (By weight), or are they all about the same? Good post

So what will I get some, none, or more? I have to know and if you don't tell me I'll never try again! LOL, too bad this won't stop the constant posting about yields.

Hey maybe next you can work on the whole "which is the most potent strain" CRAP.  I'm new and looking for good quality info.  I'm tired of seeing this "how much will I yield" and "what will get me the highest".  It' s a bunch of bullshit from people who can't appreciate the fact that they are basically playing GOD by artificially simulating a natural environment.  I don't care how much I get or how fucked up I get.  I just am really fascinated that I can achieve the virtually impossible inside of my own home.:smirk:

Maybe there should be a section for newbies. That way, those that see seemingly silly questions as an annoyance can avoid them. Those that are friendly enough to be helpful can give useful direction or point them in the right direction. Better yet, maybe there should be a stupid questions section that we can all ignore.

I've found that more substrate tends to yeild more mushrooms.

Could there be a correlation there?

There is a section for newbies. This is it.

But seriously, I really need to know if it's gonna be none, some, or a lot. I have a party this weekend, and I just innoculated my jars today. I know I'm going to have some people show up, but it might be a lot. Some of them might eat a lot, some of them might eat none, some might just eat some. So, how much will my jars yield, and how many people will that feed?

PM me with any cultivation questions.

I just looked at my profile and realized I had a website at one point in time on geocities, it's not there anymore and I have no idea what I had on it. Anybody remember my website from several years aga? PM if so please.

Well, I can tell you without a doubt, that your jars will yield more than enough to supply the people who won't be eating any!!!

Great post. "How much WBS do I need to grow a pound in three weeks? And will I need more than 2 heating pads and an electric blanket my grandmother gave me?"

From my turtles experience here's his average yield: 1 qt rye cased with coco yields 3/4 oz first flush, 1/4 second, 1/8 third all dry. With perfect conditions of course.
