Ask me about the military.

I've been in the army for almost 2 years now. There are some things about it that are just really great, and some things that are not so great. I feel like it might be interesting to open up a forum, and answer general questions, and possibly squash preconcieve notions, and maybe reinforce others. So ask away, anything you want to know about the army from an insider?

Haha, as of right now, I haven't deployed, though our unit is mobilizing for an October deployment to Afghanistan. As of right now, I am a medic, so likely I won't be seeing a lot of action.

I was 11B when I was in the army. Do you go out in the field with the infantry or are you mostly in the rear areas ?

I want to stop smoking cannabis before I go in. So when do they first drug test you.

What conditions would stop someone from going in. Ex. Minor gullblatter surgery.

Is the coffee instant.

How much sleep do you get? And what if you have insomnia.

Any hot girls?.

What do you enjoy the most.?

I go to every field problem with the infantry, and sleep on the dirt with them. But they treat me well and I love it.
