I'd say they either trust our government entirely too much, or they care more about making money than their morals. I understand your opinion, my brother was in Iraq and got shot, he wasn't stupid either, he just didn't give a fuck about the possibility of having to kill people as much as he wanted to make money. I really don't understand why people join the military, but people have to survive some way. Not everyone has the same respect for human life I guess, whatever though, shit isn't always black or white.

There's absolutely no doubt in my mind that we do indeed need a military.
Now the key is just to prevent it from being used for unjust wars and pre-emptive agression.

OUR government's job is to maintain a stable Capitalist economy.
First of all, look at gas prices in Europe compared to ours. They are triple the price!
Our gas prices are so low because the US has so much swagger and can buy out other countries for lower gas sale prices, in the same way that companies lobby politicians in government for benefits and subsidies.
Gas prices have to be for the time being because we are not a wealthy country anymore.
We do not have Industry, nor Education, but mostly muscle. Our infrastructure based on automobiles and suburbs would collapse if the gas prices were as high as they are in other countries.
When the pay off game is not enough, and there are economic benefits beyond oil, the USA CORPORATION we call our government, goes to war.
War is GOOD FOR BUSINESS. And all of this runs on fear that you cant live happily if you dont have this American dream economy.
They'll give all of us as many reasons as necessary to be afraid for our financial and secure futures.

True peace is above thought. We don't need to think exactly alike because we already are all apart of the same consiousness. It's the political differences that fuck everything up.
