If I were in the field, I'd carry a rifle... but in the cities, shotguns are the way, IMO. That gun isn't light when fully loaded. If you were packing one, that and the ammo is about all you'd want to carry. Otherwise you'd to be to damn slow and tired to do anything.

Ah, and someone did the research in another thread... its 20 rnd drums and 120 rnds per minute including reload time. It's a real life street sweeper that works amazingly well. The inside mechanics of it are very close tolerance machining and the one I shot never jammed once. Seriously consider getting one of these if you EVER have to go into a hostile city.

true, but like any weapon, the ammo u carry is going to be heavy. at least shotgun r plastic instead of brass. that hk416 looks like a work of art, id take that over an m4 any day (only reason i say that is cause the one time i ever shot an m4 it jammed up on me every 3-4 shots. im guessing its just an old gun though )

A company, natec I believe, produces polymer cased ammo. The gun shop/range around here only had it in .223, so I haven't tried it yet. I'm more of a .308 guy. They say it functions flawlessly though. Brass may soon have a rival. Although reloading won't be an option I suspect.

The Benelli M4 Super 90? Yea, it's a tried and true classic. Never had any jamming problems with mine. But I cleaned that thing out every time i shot it. I thought it was head and shoulders above carrying an 870 standard issue combat shotgun.
And if I had to pick my rifle shell I'd stick with my .300 mag. No good up close, but that fucker will knock over an elephant at 800 yrds. (not that i'd shoot an elephant... ) Kicks like a mule, but the recieving end is MUCH worse.

Get a few people firing different rounds full auto and it would be like a rainbow of death flying around with the cases
