Life Path aspect of Numerology...
    #14699352 -

I used to be into Numerology a bit... Specifically, the Life Path aspect of it all... For many people, the Life Path did seem to accurately fit those who I was curious about... people I'm very close to and know a lot about... it was literally uncanny... it blew my mind... I was aware of the fact that it may have been just myself reading into it too much and projecting certain things onto others or that it I was simply seeing what I wanted to see; I was aware of all that... yet it still seemed to accurate... sooo weird.

Anyone else here that used to dabble in Numerology and/or Life Paths? I'm not into it so much anymore, I still find it somewhat fascinating.... What conclusions have you all reached?

P.S. In the land of Numerology, my Life Path is 11.

I know ideological stances inhibit what can be gathered from pure experience... I've come to realize mindful, logical, linear-thinking - while relatively necessary and relatively 'true' - is ultimately irrelevant. It means verrrry little in the face of pure experience. For women, this almost seems common sense... For men, it seems to be something which is difficult to come to terms with. While immersed in the psychedelic experience, logic does make sense and seems to be congruent with pure experience or pure BE-ing, but it seems to be of a lower nature than it's right-brain counterpart.... ultimately an inhibitor of BE-ing if taken too seriously (as our world certainly does).

So you think logic is bullshit because it doesn't make sense when you are tripping?

hahaha I can see with a name like "iThink" I might have pushed a button or two of yours..... Caaaaalllllllm yourself..... That's not what I said, brother.... Direct experience and intuition are primary... with logic being secondary... That's more of what I mean/have come to learn. We, as moderns, give logic too much creedence. I removed that part of my post.... it was more of a pretext anyway.... I don't need a bunch of reactive shroomerites following suit!

And you really should have just quoted that first paragraph instead of the whole thing since you were reacting to the first part. But I forgive you.

Nonsense me brudder.  We don't give logic nearly enough credence and that's why half the would still believes in some stupid impossible god.

Logic, experience etc. are the tools and cannot function well in a vacume.  I can have any experience but my interpretation of that experience can be very skewed without using logic.

Exactly - and numerology is hardly direct experience. It is about connecting unconnected dots using a biased filter looking for meaning in numbers where there is none.

This is why weed is classified as extremely harmful and addictive with no medical benefits while alcohol is sold at the grocery store. It's also why we have suicide bombers whose intuition is primary over logic.

The world is doomed and that kind of non-thinking is at its roots.

4) We need a smaller, less-intrusive government.

brutal

although I don't think suicide bombing is based on intuition...perhaps emotional reaction, but not intuition. One does not "intuit" that they choose to explode

and I'm guessing that at some point it has some arbitrary and convoluted idea attached to it, further removing it from intuition, imo. It's closer to bad logic than intuition

logic such as the world is doomed

i was just letting this dude know he's not alone, nor crazy for being interested in numerology.

he listed his life path number, and so i listed mine.

what does this all have to do with top priority?

Except the meanings you give it or are agreed upon. I agree that it's bullshit as far as some higher power directing us with numbers goes. It does give me something to think about when two dots connect well enough though. We don't want to take away our metric system just because it inherently doesn't mean anything. As far as synchronicity goes, the more vague they are the more likely it is that they will resonate with me. Humans fall into similar patterns I guess. Certain things are bound to repeat themselves through time. I think believers focus too much on one synchronicity (lets say in numerology) and neglect those that failed (also numerology). The ones that do resonate with us could be useful for exploring our projections IMO. A way to analyze obscured "reality". Or something like that.

I never said it was, friend. I admit, I was in a hurry when I wrote this thing and I didn't lay it out like I meant to. It's a bit blurry between the two concepts.... But that last sentence of yours, don't even go there, bro. You'll look a'fool to those more intelligent than you. But if you don't mind that, go right ahead. Just don't infer in territory you don't understand... I know your ego assumes it do, fooo.

I really didn't clarify enough in my original post... That whole "intuition/experience vs. logic" paragraph was a pretext to what I was about to go on about (numerology) - as these two concepts arose "side-by-side" during a recent, heavy shroom trip.

Mathematics can be seen as code... in relation to the universe, that is. And no, my dear friend, I'm not implying Numerology is in any way mathematics. But prime numbers (which Numerology is based upon) have a 'primal' relationship/role in the universe.

This thread is bunk....... I didn't put in enough time writing it & I don't have the time to clarify now. I'll start a new thread in a few weeks and I'll be sure to clarify it all and word everything as purely as I can.
