While 'normal' waves are tidal in nature, they are not referred to as tidal waves - so your statement is not very accurate.

Mostly old people walking back and forth and the occasional Canadian brave enough to hop in the water. The town I live in was once the shark bite capitol of the world so...if I am at the beach, there is one thing I am doing and that's NOT swimming.
