Liquid Growth Medium Question

I was wondering how much experience any of you have with liquid mycelium growth such as this tek:

What I'm trying to find out is if the yields from growing shrooms this way are greater than the normal BRF/Verm cakes?

Liquid culture is a good way to stretch out a limited spore supply. It also speeds up colonization a bit.

How long does it take before the mycelium in the liquid is ready to be put in the substrate? Also, do you need to sterilize the substrate when you put the liquid mycelium culture in it, or is that not neccesary since the mycelium is already grown?

Everything should be treated exactly as it would be if inoculating from spores.
Liquid cultures usually take between 1-3 weeks to be ready to use.

It takes 1-3 weeks before the liquid culture is ready to be put in the substrate, or the substrate will be ready to fruit in 1-3 weeks when using liquid agar culture after it has been inoculated?

It will take one to three weeks for the mycelium in the syringe to multiply to an extent that you will be able to innoculate a batch of jars.

afoaf has a karo jar incubating @ 84F for nearly 1 week now. Showing growth in two areas that kind of looks like pollen but is a light-gray color.

can you innoculate the liquid with a spore print? same way as the cakes? or works best with syringes?

Twista - mycelium usually shows up grey-ish or off-white because it's so thin that far into colonization.

One or two cc's from a healthy culture is plenty.
