Check out my SGFC need some thoughts on my brf cakes aswell

here is my sgfc from the outside, i used 1/4' bit to make my holes every two inces across and down on all 6 sides the top has some 1/2" holes i drilled and covered with tape as an add on pulling air through the box later on in the cycle. it has two thermometers one stuck to the lid and another inside the tank itself that also moniters humidity



hers the cakes from a side view looking through the tub


inside the tub


temps and humidity have stayed here the humidity does go up to 100 after the sun goes down


and here is cakes a and b they both concern me i think i pulled them way to early unfortantly there is some denser white on the top in a swirl like pattern have a look and tell me what you think im already expecting these 2 to stall or get a contaminate because of my mistake

I refuse to look at this thread until it makes sense.
Please re-write using a spell checker and a format that is legible.


other than that good luck with your grow and hope you put more effort into it than your thread.

No worries,

when you read posts like that, it is very hard to understand
and makes for an unpleasant read.

A for effort I guess.

I was reading you other thread and saw that you used the advice given to you
and you ended up removing the heater which dropped the temps a little bit

but resulted in a bump in RH, that made it 99% which was your goal.:super:

From the pictures here I would say that you may think about
raising it up to allow proper airflow under the perlite.

But if you have it all dialed in than thats cool too.
Just a thought.

ya looks pretty good. The pictures are a little close. I like to use a taller tote for my sgfc.

i have all four corners up on jar lids right now puts it up roughly an inch

you may see a big difference if you raise it up about 6" or so.
or you may not:shrug:

the tek calls for it to be up higher, but if its working its working:super:

what do you mean by early? Was there places that was not colonized?

well when i pulled them they were all colonized but i didnt let them sit long enough and my cakes myceliums very thin compared to all the other posts ive seen of dense white cakes

well they should be ok, have you dunked them yet? If the centers that is not colonized, get wet, then they may contam. I have put cakes in the fruiting chamber, before they had time to consolidate, and gotten away with it. But you shouldn't try to do this in the future. Its best to wait 5 to 7 days, to make sure the centers are done. And yes your cakes dont have that bright white look about them.Are you sure you got your BRF and verm mix right?

yea my mix is definetly right my other jars that are still colonizing are doing beautifully very dense white mycelium these two finished b4 the others

I have had cakes come out light like that, they still grew mushrooms. cant wait to see the fruits. be sure and show us some pictures.

how long ago did you put your cakes in??

oh btw i just pulled 133 grams wet!!! hopefully when i get back monday ill have more to pull! lol ill put up a post when i get back so ill have my camera...

They will probably be OK if they are pretty much fully colonized.

Next time just incubate them a little longer if you think they might not be ready.

Patience is a virtue that u need for this hobby.

@ 2482 i put em in about 3 days ago now

@ goldboy im thinking they might be some more expierenced people said they have done it to and it works out the thing that gave me the most hop was when i put them in the dunk after birth they did float well soo that was kinda like ok i think im safe
