Nah i keep it pretty neatly trimmed at about 1.5 cm level... I'm scared of razor burn/ingrown hairs/itchiness/shrivelling in the cold (it always itches for a few days after a trim... stubble seems scary scratchy)...

Ur shit wont itch until well after you let it grow back out. You will only get ingrown
hairs if you keep shaving that shit everyday.

There's nothing more annoying than being woken up by industrial noise, but I hardly think annoyances are reason enough to risk a fucking heat stroke by waiting until the noon sun comes out to work in it.

i understand you completely but in the summer at mid day and just getting started the sun is scorching hot, installing gutters was enough for me, i would never be a roofer.

I would have started the hammering on the roof thing just after first light ( about 7AM for those who never seen it :smirk:).  By 10AM, I'm ripping something on the table saw, cutting firewood with the chainsaw, blasting the radio, or maybe just playing with firecrackers... It does suck to be forced awake before your time. Hopefully, they're not out there early next week to replace the sidewalk, because  you can use a  jackhammer in the dark...:cheers: . . . :peace:(and quiet)

10 am is an extremely late start for putting on a roof. Roofing work  usually starts when the sun comes up.

Actually, the jackhammer thing happened to me when I was younger and working 8PM to 4AM, sleeping by 7. Jackhammers started at 8...:crankey: They were doing the whole apt. complex. After 2 or 3 days of that shit I drove straight to the beach from work (it was summer), pound a few beers and sleep soundly 'till noon or so...:shrug: ...  How about 3-11pm roommates when you are a 7-3pm person. That can really suck...:peace:

Man a lot of hate in this thread. 10 is a totally reasonable time to be up, but I agree it's fucking annoying to be woken up by hammers, or landscapers or some shit. It's funny to hear people talk about the "real world" because in the real world there are people who work at night and have to sleep during the day. I'm sure most of you'd be pretty pissed if someone was roofing at 12 am.

The honest explanation is this:  You're "venting" about something that is completely reasonable.

It's entirely normal for people to be up and about, and working at 10AM.  This is why people are giving you a hard time.  You shouldn't be venting about a commonplace activity (e.g. work).
