The Subconscious
    #13401617 -

Can the subconscious be controlled? I feel like I have no control over my subconscious mind (from time to time). As I go to bed, it kind of just runs free, and I can do nothing about it. Or if I smoke pot or something, my subconscious mind seems to run free again, and I don't feel like I'm controlling my thoughts at all; they're just roaming freely. It kind of gets me worried that I have no control over it at times; especially when I used to have panic attacks. It's like no matter what I would think, my subconscious mind can always pop up and ask a question or bring in some type of fear that is bad at times.

So I was wondering, do you guys have any practices that maybe calm, or help control the subconscious? Or do you guys think that it just can't be controlled at all?

No it can be controlled and directed. Think of the subconscious as simply that part of your consciousness you don't use. You can slowly push the border back over the eerie lands of the subconscious and make its powers your own. It wants you to. It's you, just a smarter, fitter, more creative, better-looking and more daring you. It's the rest of you... and what Jung called individuation is the process of incorporating its features into your conscious mind over time. You can go as fast or slow as you want, but you first have to invade its territory. Psychedelic drugs will fire the first shot. Prolonged isolation is the second best weapon.

Look forward to things like a vastly improved immune system, the potential for spontaneous physical healing, inexhaustible ecstasy/love and perfect confidence.

All you have to do is give up your controlling ego and its petty attempts to adapt to life, and let the rest of you run the show. Stop trying to control, stop thinking, stop desiring. Stop. You're pre-programmed. Everything will go fine if you just surrender.

Each person has around 60,000 thoughts a day(most of which are subconscious), it's impossible to my knowledge to completely control your thoughts. So don't try to control them, just observe your thoughts without judgment and you'll probably find a lot of thoughts are irrational and completely random. Try mindfulness meditation.

meditation should align and silence the mind (until it disappears)

though there's also the case of outside manipulation, by an entity or thoughtform - this is a good read on the matter: http://www.sunsetsupernatural.com/spirit-releasement

Make sure you remember the 'demons' or entities are THOUGHTFORMS not extraterrestials or visitors from Hell. This doesn't make them 'less real' or less meaningful, because it's your mind that's doing the 'real' effect, but you can dissapate them at will.

I had a demon that sodomized me. It was fucking surreal. I think it was my representation of all the sickness within me, all the negative energy and corrupted chakras/emotional centres. Since I washed it all away, no more Mr. Sodomy Demon.

there are entities that are as real as other people are

that said, even other people are figments of your imagination really (what you experience of them is)

but when something takes over your mind and feeds distracting information into it - it's difficult to focus and such, hard to know what it's like until it happens :undecided:

it's not a case where it just talks to me, it actually takes over my own will, swears through me, my crown chakra pulses and feels like it's tugging on it, and other stuff

there are entities that are entirely mind-made, like shadow self stuff, but not every entity can be dealt with this way it seems, and thats when getting a healer to remove the problem becomes a good idea

I think it might be a good idea to do some research on the subconscious. Your idea of it and what it does seems to be just a tad scrambled.  Wikipedia is a good place to start.

OK! I was just thinking...
Since we are all the one consciousness. or the universe experiencing itself in many different ways and forms.

Our 'conscious' minds may think differently.

BUT! is our subconscious the same?

I also think this may be true because of what people experience when they smoke dmt. most experience very very similar things.

is dmt the ticket to the universal subconscious mind?

also. what does that mean the subconscious really is?  :hmm:

Nobody knows if it's really sub conscious or what it is. It's awesome and that's for sure. I've found salvia a great tool for exploring the mind. Legal, cheap, and you can use it daily if you got the guts for it.

I think you are subconsciousness. How else these thoughts could arise? Without you it would be as good as computer without voltage.

panpsychism is the idea that everything is mind; your self/ego is your conscious, your body is your subconscious, and the external world is your unconscious mind. thats my interpretation of things

I think the ego is what tries to control and modify the subconcious in the first place. It seems to act as a safety net, a way of rationalising the experience before it so as not to prevent the arising a response which gives too much emotion (among other things). Psychedelics can help to temporarily remove the barriers of the ego, to let your subconcious roam pretty much freely, and it can be great fun. But I think trying to control the experience is the wrong way of looking at it. Why do you want to control it?
