Wow, awesome!! Its good to see people from the shroomery doing astral projection and OBE. I also have a very easy time getting out of the body. Have been doing it for five years.  I believe the next great step in human understanding lies in astral projection. I mean understanding the way the mind works. Its too bad science dismisses all these things that have been around for thousands of years. Like all the eastern esoteric knowledge. Its too bad science and spirituality/religion couldn't "get along" better. If we merged the two we would  really be getting somewhere!!
Magick is very similar to science,by the way. I think it has much greater possibilities. It takes into account all of science, and also leaves room for everything else. I think "magick" should replace science because it encompasses it, and allows for more. It may as well!

I have been studying "magick" for many years now. I have not really done anything with it yet, nor have really tried. Right now I am working on mastering the second body, and also developing my ability to travel in the astral realm. aka "induced out of body experience".

I recommend reading Crowley. And also you must remember there is so much controversial information out there about the subject you should try reading as much as you can about it before making any conclusions about anything. There is so much occult information, and like all other information, you have to pick through it and take the important things. You will eventual find commonalities between everything. Like a certain point, or a fundamental law that you see in many different places. These are the important things. Like the second body for example. Every  religion and culture in the world has examples of the consciousness leaving the body. Buddhism, any occult teachings, the toltec's, Aztecs, Egyptians and even Christianity. The second body is an extremely important part of magick, I think it is often overlooked. And so is the ability to see/perceive the astral realm in general. Its much easier to do this from the second body.

Well said Glacius!

Producing such effects magically without tools or exact methods is on the Interwebnet often called "direct magic." Just an energy work bit. Good stuff. Effective.

Props and tools are more useful for very powerful workings or for workings involving multiple people requiring a focus to direct the intents in a unified manner.

That's the nature of power.

Moving a piece of paper is a psychokinetic effect - more parapsychological than magical.

I'm going to look in to that, wonder why I haven't really heard of that before.

expect a PM from me.

*edit*

This 'direct magic' is excatly what I was talking about... I usualy say to people that I treat my occult studies/practice like a jeet kune do artist (which I also study/practice) would sudy martial arts, take what works for you, and scrap the rest and move on to the next philosophy... sorry if this doesn't make a lot of sense, I'm a little (a lot) on the intoxicated/stoned side right now

I have only read about 'direct magic' for around 10 mins now and this is it, the no bullshit guide to magic.

thanks man.

I have done it for many years now.

Mankind's reach is greater than his grasp

Magick for me has always been something that I have seldom understood,
and seem to be constantly performing.

I have never truly understood it, nor do I aim to..

I've been reading a book on magick by Israel Regardie. I haven't really done any specific magickal rituals, mainly because I haven't had to. The one thing I've been doing is training my will through various ascetic practices. A finely tuned will can affect its surroundings more effectively, or so my experiences have led to me to believe.
