I would never set up a 5k dope deal with someone who knew where I lived (or especially my family. even my real first name for that matter...) it's also possible OPs dealer is the grower, more reason to not know where he lives. Different people are different :shrug:

Well heres what it sounds like to me.

You wanted to help out your friend. He wanted a pound of weed. You contact your dealing on behalf of your friend and work a deal out. The dealer and friend meet up and hes robbed.

It is his fault for not protecting himself. Regardless, your dealer must be thinking, DAMN that mother fucker set me up. Because you did  set the deal up, wanting to help a buddy out trying to get some weed.

As that dealer, I would look at you and think you set me up. I would already be thinking the guy with the gun is completely out of the picture, I won't be seeing him ever again. I would look to you and make you pay me back in full.

As the dealer I would feel completely justified in beating the fuck out of you for this. 5 grand is a lot of money and the whole situation looks as if you set me up. I highly doubt the dealer is going to see the situation in any other way.

Offer the dealer your services in helping him get the pound back.  if you can't afford to pay for it, there's nothing you can do but help.

If the dealer goes with you that's cool, if the dealer arranges for someone else to go with you, that's cool too.  he shouldn't leave it up to you, but you should help him get the weed back.

I'm sure you dealer know's a couple hard-asses.

4k a pound from the growers? Wow, that's fucking pathetic. $200 CDN an oz where I live. Never asked about a pound, but I'm sure it would be under $2k.

Considering you can get a fucking kilo of MDMA for $5000 ($500 an oz regular), $5000 for a pound of weed is PATHETIC. Buddy who thinks his weed is worth $5k deserved to be fucking robbed.
