Inevitability of paradoxes .....
    #11330841 - 10/27/09 10:59 AM (14 years, 5 months ago)

...excuse me here...

Change here change there; everywhere we look it’s staring. Paradoxes inside hairy brain boxes are what we find when we’re hitch hiking with psychotic desires. Sometimes thinking to ourselves… we aren’t here. Foaming at the mouth… this can’t be… Sit in her whicker basket full of truths and maybe one day she’ll set a place for you at her picnic. Ah but who the fuck could that be? One thing is sure, you’ll rot before too long; yes, but maybe thought shots fired at your waving white flag will make you laugh! Change here change there, everywhere this fool looks the jester dances by. One thing, many things, no matter, paradoxes inside hairy brain boxes are all we can manage... when we’re trying hard.

The question becomes... am I a hack at trying to be poetic

But I guess, do you all see what I might be saying? Things like, we're all one - but we arent. We are all connected, but arent... monism/dualism... etc, it seems when the mind tries to be honest and tries hard we aren't left with much beyond an ability to appreciate the brute paradoxes of nature/existence. Indicitive of some brilliance?

yes you are a hack. We all are as far as I can tell.

mostly we want to put off the real work of changing ourselves by throwing stones at the world.

How am i to change myself? My thoughts go round and round with no resting place let alone a marvel like a final analysis. My feelings are buried miles below some friggin controlling behaviour so i'll never have to face them and realize im no longer a child.

I like your phrase 'hairy brain boxes'

a lot

but anyway

read the Dao De Jing

in a few translations?

There are not really paradoxes... no paradoxes exist. We are all connected when we discount our seperations. You might say 'well duh.. youve just discounted the seperations between people so of course they are all connected'. The point is that these seperations are both real and not. This is not a paradox because they are real in certain ways, and unreal in certain others. In terms of the mind, everything is seperate. however in terms of the universe, everything is connected. Both are important ways of seeing the world, in order to respect the distinction between our perceptions and what we think they represent.

I knew it long before I got that far. The thing you often fail in IMO is reading comprehension. I said "we" which includes me.

Why would it not be worth the wait? And I have revealed this "jewel" many times over the years here.

You seem to have a very selective memory.

Oh yeah, I knew that already.:satansmoking:

That's your problem. I only know that I have managed to change over the years. Not totally, by far, but some change. Change is a constant in the material universe and it's happening to you right now.

thanks for the input  :smirk:

The mental realm seems full of paradoxes inasmuch as we have a power of forming trains of thought. We are connected surely in a certain sense... however the magic has emerged through our autonomy to interact on our own whims - or at least under a convincing guise of them... Think about the formation of ideas, the mind as some mental "metaphysical" space which truly emmanates from our concrete physicality - mind as the "idea" of our body - though how does this paranatural affirmation of body really emerge?

Change here, change there, everywhere we go we’re grasping at melting tautologies. Paradoxes inside of hairy brain boxes are what we find when we’re hitch hiking with psychotic companions. Sometimes thinking to ourselves… we aren’t here. Foaming at the mouth… this can’t be… But our companions eventually betray us and the driver who took us in won’t allow any free rides. You’ll finally realize what a schemer this chauffer was. Swerving and driving erratically he loses all inhibitions. At once he opens the door to see you nevermore. Tucked and rolling away on the pavement beyond your mirror, your chauffer fades out of view, leaving you to operate his tedious gear box with a flavor of frenzy. What else could you do!? Change here change there, everywhere this ego looks the jester dances by. One thing, many things, no matter is any delineation, paradoxes inside of hairy brain boxes are all we can manage, when we’re trying to get somewhere out here using mouth words.
