We wanted to hear your opinion nevertheless.
And as for the results, out of more than 200 people , 33 voted to keep it, the other obviously didn?t mind, or they don?t visit the Cheers forum.

I agree. Personally I'm a little offended that there was a poll where at least most of the people who responded voted in favor of keeping it.. and then it dissappears anyway. What the fuck was the point if it doesnt matter in the end anyway. OUt of 200 people who were allowed access, probalby only 33 people visit it regularly... we know theres a fair share of dead accounts not to mention some people who drop in now and then and probalby weren't around while you decided to do this.. Anyway, I want it noted for the record i think this action was fucking retarded.

well all i can say, is that sometimes humans try sooooo hard to do things they shouldnt do at all.

why not just call it the public mod forum?
please change this.
if you guys want to talk amongst yourselves, you have another forum to do so. you know, "the moderator forum".

As Anno said, polling is one of the ways we collect data, which contributes to an administrative decision. However, polling is in no way the sole criteria by which we make decisions. I think the problem may be with the wording of the polls.
We sometimes assume that every member understands that we are merely collecting the popular voice to be considered with other factors in making a decision. I think we should try in the future to somehow put a disclaimer on these polls regarding administrative decisions, "that we want to hear what you have to say, so that we can use it along with other factors in arriving at a decision." Or perhaps we shouldn't poll at all, as polls definitely seem to contribute to the level of chaos around here, and ultimately leave the participants feeling disenfranchised. This is something we will discuss.
