edit: albeit when I am high my anxiety does worsen, but it is not permanent.

I have smoked weed for as long as I have been having social anxiety, 2 years. I smoke most days. I am going to take a 1 month break starting today, to see if it improves my anxiety. I have also downloaded the tape set someone mentioned earlier, and it sounds interesting.

We've all felt this before, I had the same type of horrible heart pounding anxiety around girls, but then you realize that you just do it, because it'll turn out alright.  Its not like youre about to murder someone, you're about to kiss a girl who is obviously ok with your presence, and most likely feels some time of uncertainty because she doesnt know if you're going to do it or not.  do it!  make it happen!

well on a forum full of self medicating drug addicts, i am going to go out on a limb and assume your over use of weed IS the reason you are faced with "social anxiety"

I didn't say you were right, I think my anxiety was caused by my angry mother persistently putting me down when I was young. Perhaps the weed aggrevated it.

A tip to overcome social anxiety with girls:

Don't see them as someone you want to fuck. Make yourself believe you're just friends with eachother, and act like that around her.

When you bring screwing into the equasion things just fall apart mentally.
