Old School Raves

So I went to my first rave last night and it was awesome. The thing is that it was at a real concert venue.  This makes me want to go to one of those old school raves where you get a map to a place to a place to a back road to a warehouse or barn where the rave is at.  Does anyone know if those still exist in at all?  I live in south east wisconsin if it makes a difference.

They sure exist.

Not sure about how you would go about finding it though. Keep going to the parties you know about and eventually word will be passed down to you I guess.

Or try and find some internet informations.

The map thing is kind of old. The underground raves I go to put you onto a text list once someone gives you the main number. When it comes around you get a text with some obscure link, replying gets you the address. I love the music, its always some trippy shit or some dubstep :awedrugs:

no....wtf coasters not gonna know a damn thing more about raves in your area than you do.


what part of the country are you from though? where i'm at most of the techno parties are spread just by word of mouth, the bigger ones will have promoters hand out flyers and post them up at other events.

basically you have to meet people in the scene and make friends that know when parties are going down. unless you live in an area where the parties are big enough that you can find out about them on certain rave forums.
i'm not posting any links to those forums just search for raves/techno parties in your area.

I live right by Milwaukee, Wisconsin, so one would think it would be easy enough to find them.  The problem is that I have no idea where to start looking, unless I were to just ask random people I see at organized venue type raves if they know of any...

Usually you hafta know people who are in the know to be invited to one of these. If you just show up to a random rave youre not going to find out. Gotta get to know people who party and whatnot. These types of things are usually exclusive to people who are in the know and their close friends, people like that. Just get involved in the rave scene and youll find out about more parties.

My boy threw one a few months back, you didnt find out where it was till he texted you that day with the location. Once there it'd be like a long hike and whatnot.

i know the people who run them.

you dont HAVE to know the people to go to the raves, but chances are you wont find them unless your invited by somebody who is going. so i guess you just have to know the right people.

Ok, well this one is supposed to be pretty big so it has a online group and published line-up. Deadmau5 is also holding a show at the soldier field july 2nd and if you have ever been to the lakefront you know it will be sick
