Dreaming

Now I've cut back my pot smoking to almost never, and have noticed my dream recall is getting extremely good and my dreams seem more vivid.
Well I have a recurring dream of sorts. Not the same dream, but the same thing keeps happening. I will be swimming underwater, and an Orca whale comes and swims by me, I can reach out and touch it. It is awesome. Some dreams I will see the whale out in the water while I am sitting on a beach.
I haven't seen an Orca whale in real life in years. I don't understand why they are in my dreams so frequently. Anyone have any interesting dream stories to share or thoughts on my dream? I'm beginning to get really interested in dreams!

" I can reach out and touch it" -- so is the dream lucid? (are you in control of it?)

No, I didn't know I was dreaming. Lucid dreams are where you know you are in a dream. I didn't realize it was a dream. But I reached out and touched it last time.
On another note hehe,
I also had a dream where I ate some mushrooms. And everything started to seem weird and I didn't know why. Then I remembered I had eaten some mushrooms. And I said to my friend, man am I high, I forgot I ate those mushrooms until just now. My friend asked how I felt. I said... "It's like I'm dreaming." Then I thought about it, and realized how unbelievably and perfectly accurate of a description it was. "It is like I'm dreaming man! Like exactly!" But I didn't put 2 and 2 together and realize that I was in fact dreaming.

Yes!
The wale occuring could have a special significance. You could be subconsciously thinking about something you were subconsciously thinking about the last time you saw the wale. Dreams often have a literal meaning, in that something may appear as one thing but mean another.
Heh, I've had dreams where I've eaten lsd, and there is always a difference in perception afterwards. Mostly it's like a come-up, in that things feel weird and you know it.
(it's funny that the spell checker knows of "LSD")

Cetacean life, whales and dolphins.. are an integral part of our transformation.. they hold within them the Earth's true history which they relay through song and other means of communication... Being the most advanced, intelligent, and oldest life form on this planet the exist between the 3rd and 4th density, and are currently assisting mankind with it's transformation into 4th density.

I dream of reality and awaken to realize I'm dreaming.

One time a friend of mine was on a 3rd plateau DXM trip and and he said to me, "You know when you're twisted on DXM you feel like you're dreaming?" I said, I get that feeling all the time, as have many of my friends. So he says, "Well then does that mean that whenever we dream it's like we've taken a bunch of DXM?" I couldn't answer him then, but ever since then I've had dreams every month or so where I'm tripping on DXM, and damn is it weird.
As for your orca whale, perhaps you're connecting to the worldwide cetacean groupmind-network. Or maybe not. I'd suggest free-associating to the concepts in the dream. Just sit down and write the first thing the whale remind syou of, then the first thing that reminds you of, etc. Also, I've read (never really tried it myself) that a good technique is to have a conversation with your dream character(s), in your head like, and see where it goes. Ask Mr Whale what he's up to, what his name is, his gender, stuff like that.
Just a thought. --m

I just woke up from a spectacular lucid dream. I am learning to gain more and more control over them.

I ve have noticed the same I think its because pot kill R.E.M sleep. So far my dreams have gone way to weird, and now because of research chems I wake up now and again and start seeing diffrent people in my room, i even seen my self the other night when i am full awake and I can move, then within a few sec of wakeing the just fade away. dosent realy bother me just probably a tempory side effect of the RC.

Yes, pot definately obscures dreams.
Last night i had some bizarre dreams. Seperate scenarios that somehow flowed really well together so that i remembered almost everything when i woke up.
It's been about 5 hrs since waking........................don't remember too much
I'm pushing a shopping cart down a city street. It's cold but i have just a tshirt, and a work shirt on which keeps flapping off in the wind or something. Every intersection i pass people on the street are looking at me suspiciously. I am pushing something of significance in the cart. It is twilight. I arrive at my destination, a laundromat i think, i go in this brightly lit building and see Jesus frozen in a plastic tub. He is very blue and frosty and his beard and hair stand out in my mind.........................blank...................
I am discussing this discovery with some offical looking lobster eating type dudes. I am suspicious about my discovery and the fat guy says something to the effect "we got a sharp one here" then laughs sarcastically.................blank............
Now i am wandering around with some kids, don't remember where or why, and we all go and sit in this room where someone is sitting behind a desk, and there is a square door in the wall behind him..........he calls one of the kids over, he walks over suspiciously, then he grabs him and stuffs him into the space behind the door, then one of us goes around the back of the building and the kid is there..................
then im in a big rich persons house, and they have a lot of kids, the kids are doing strange sadistically innocent (innocently sadistic?) things. One kid keeps taking jellyfish out of his aquarium and cutting them in half. Im freakin out tryin to find the aquarium so i can stop him from doing this, running all over this big house. I feel bad for the jellyfish, wonder why the kid isn't getting stung, and am overall vaguely disgusted...................blank................................the kids mom comes come, i know this woman somehow, she starts massaging my feet and legs......i tell her that she is pressing on bruises and i feel pain from them, and i express that i am not suprised at how bruised i am.................................blank........................
i am in an airport or something, and i am running around bumping into people in some sort of neanderthal attempt to communicate or flirt. I am running around and hitting girls with my croch and other people are doing this too.......???.....some people are covered in blankets...................................the phone rings and i wake up.

Thanks for the responses everyone. I did some reading. Cetecean life is cool I'm gonna try to communicate with em!
This reminds me of another thing. Last time a dream I was having went lucid, last week, I wanted to ask this guy in my dream why he was there, since it was my dream, what he thought about things, etc. But before I did I forgot I was in a dream. Next time though.....

I notice whenever I read before I go to sleep that, unlike watching tv before I sleep, I have extemely vivid and imaginative dreams. I'm guessing its because I use the same part of my brain when I'm reading to imagine the places in the story. TV already creates environments so that part of my brain just shuts off.
