I never seen the movie, but for some reason Diamonds kind of piss me off.

Go see it polly its a good movie!

Some people are even thinking of investing in diamonds, which is on par with investing into the roulette wheel.

The diamond industry incinerates over a ton of jewelry grade diamonds every year to artificially keep the price high. This is not conspiracy talk, google it.

Watch that movie and realize that a lot of those diamonds are simply thrown into the incinerator to drive prices up.

I just googled it, and couldn't find anything.  Do you have any links?

I always thought that De Beers just stockpiled everything they mined, and controlled the price of diamonds by limiting the supply that they released.

yea i think its great that he's shed the teen heartthrob image. especially when you knew his potential from early one with movies like "What eating gilberts grape". i think the movie that really launched him into good actor category was "Catch Me If You Can" i'm happy he's playing really good roles.

The movie that sold me on him was The Departed, then I saw The Aviator after that and thought his portrayal of Howard Hughes was Oscar-worthy.
