But anyway, on the spring equinox this year my girlfriend and I went out to the Bruce Vento Nature Sanctuary in St. Paul.  It holds a series of caves that are said to contain the spirits of the Dakota people as well as the cave from which humans came according to their creation story, called Wakan Tipi.

We climbed the bluffs a bit and reached a secluded sandstone cathedral of sorts, placing us on top of/next to the cave system.  After smoking a bowl I noticed a faint heart beat, thought it was someone in the distance bangin their subs, and ignored it.

But it wouldn't fucking stop.

It kept getting louder and louder to the point where I actually thought it was my own heart beat, but it wasn't!

The noise became so engulfing that I couldn't hear my girlfriend anymore and interrupted her to say "i'm sorry, but do you hear that?"

"The heartbeat?"

"YES"

it immediately stopped, we both looked at eachother and sait WTF, then it came back and gracefully faded away.  Shortly after, my girlfriend's bracelet of red, yellow and blue beads broke and fell off, so we left that and a little nug for whatever spirit came to check us out.  Pretty wild shit I can't wait for this damned winter to be over so I can go back

I saw an old man in a red striped suit sitting across from me after smoking with my friends in their garage. Saw him clear as day.


I also saw a deceased friend after smoking when we were at his (my dead friends) beach condo.

Only other time I have seen a spirit was when I took mushrooms in a friends mountain cabin for the second time  there was an old Native American guy standing over me and looking down and smiling at me.
