My first system I had two 10" of these in my CRX:




Not overwhelmingly loud, but I wasn't going to SPL anyway, I wanted clean tight bass. Plus in a small ass car like a crx, they hit pretty hard.

Would changing your plug wires help? Or adding a few ground wires/make sure the ground wires you have are making good contact?

Every thing is grounded to the same body bolt under the back seat (right side) in my 93 jeep grand cherokee

I have removed 1 amp and one 2 farad cap from my system, nothing. still got that noise.

So i have my head unit cap and one amp grounded to the same bolt,
I think i may need an RCA filter of some sort, as i only get the noise when the RCAs are plugged in, tryed another set of RCAs and still got the alternator noise..

I built my own sub with a Peerless 830845 12" Sub and a 500w Sub-amp.



It's not stupidly huge, but it sounds really nice and will move the windows a bit when I crank it up.

I have 2 12" Powerbess 3xl 950 watt rms per sub. A Powerbass 2000 watt amp ran at 1ohm. a 5 farad cap. A stinger batcap, (battery/capacitor).My box is a custom built slotted port box.  My highs are all alpine type R 6x8s ran off a 400 watt alpine amp. Pioneer in dash TV. I also have a EQ, and epicenter. I can take pics but I got a flat a week ago and had to pull everything out. I put all back in but its kinda just tossed in there. Its freezing cold here, I dont have my trim plates or any of the shit that makes it look seamless in. Its kind of embarassing to show it in the condition its in. I  have about 2500 wrapped up in system. My car is also completely done is Fatmat which is the same as Dynamat just cheaper.

If you want to see my house setup here ya go 4 15"s speakers.  I thought this was about car setups. My house stereo is extermely loud. I had a 5th 15. It was a powered sub but I blew it a little bit ago. Notice how there is nothing on the walls because it wont stay up. I also have full 5.1 surround in the room.

I feel you, my shits just tossed in my jeep cause i lost so much from a car accident. shit i was lucky to get my box back from the tow company. Damn those fuckers like to steal.

Lost amps 100s of dollers worth of cable my highs and mids my and tweeters.

Didden't even bother with the trim peices yet.

My home stereo is 8ohm too. I have a 700 watt Sony receiever putting 125 to each speaker the rest of the power is for the surround. Those boxes have slotted ports in the bottoms they were round but I modded the boxes. The speakers are some off brand but they sound just fine.


Dionili the battcap was the best investment ever. Before my lights would dim out to nothing. After I installed that my car runs at 15amps even during an extreme bass line. The 5 farad cap is pretty mush pointless after that but it has a digital readout on it so it looks good in there. I am trying to upload some pics of my setup but Im on a MAC and my girl is using the PC for her online class right now. I know shit about MACs. I even took a sub out of the box to show the huge magnets on these subs. You can peep them on the Powerbassusa website to. I have the 2009 models not the 2010s but there is no difference except looks.

Ill post better pics of my home shit and car shit later.

Ah, gonna invest in a batcap when i can.

My lights don't dim though unless i have the floods on even on a tough bass beat.

Caddys have a big power need because of all the electronic shit.  If you can afford an actually Batcap do it but I got the stinger one because it was a big cheaper. There simple to install just run it in parallel with your current car battery.
