In the Messianic Age… After much leisure and eons of harmony the people spoke out again. We very much would like to eat that apple again, at least one more time; we have lost contact with the memory of what it is like to really feel ups and downs. We grow tired of your glory lord, though we never thought this moment would come to us here – from earth. Shall you let us betray you again god? We have come to realize that deep down we relish the cycle we once knew. Let us go again. Call us cheeky sadists if you must, be we really must be gone.

How do we expect experiential existence to warrant delight in timeless experience of undramatic, sterile, lovey dove'y harmony? Is it a kind of sad reality that we must have some violence on the side here and there?

How do we at the least fight off boredom? Where is the line drawn when we butt heads as individuals?

New drugs are invented constantly. Great idea to pass the time. If we were immortal we would be immune to death. We could destroy the planet and then start on the rest of the universe. We wouldn't need any of it to live.

I think the pessimism is over compensating for the naive optimism.

In the history of humanity we've always been close to the edge when it comes to survival - food shortages, disease, and fighting for resources some of the chief concerns. If technology takes care of food and disease, maybe people will at least chill out a little more.
