Thanks buddy,  I am still in the middle of moving so everything Morel related is packed away.
I had either pins or sclerotia forming on the top of my jars,  I did 10 jars 5 as described and 5 jars with(apple) leaf matter on top.  I truly believe this should yield some fruits but it is out of my hands until the first of the year.  Give it a try and if you get fruit you can move this set up to large trays with massive fruits........

nothin i posted that on accident. and thanks ch ill try her. i had a small primordia earlyer this year but my fuckin gf therw away the jar it was in.so im tryin to recreate it. it was on cased grass seed... ill keep you guys updated.

That is about the same thing that happened to me,  the wife said "damn it we are moving you need to stop this obsession or at least put it on hold until we move"  then my jars were thrown away.:sad:
At least I am a little farther when I start up again.

im keepin a close(er) eye on my shit this time.and for the method you gave me ch do you use the chilling period? and did you guys read through that info i posted yesterday? theres some very strong cluse and hints in there. it looks like in the patent the substrate is only like 4-5 cm deep so its all sclerotia or somthing like that i wonder why the use such a small layer of substrate.....and there was no mention of a chilling period either hmm........

No cooling period but they were kept at a steady 59f.

I am going to try this out in about two months. I love to eat morel mushrooms. I used to hunt them all the time with my family until I moved and they do not grow here.. So I want to grow my own. I saw a video comparing the taste to wild and cultivated morel mushrooms and apeartly they tastes different. I will know for sure after I try my own cultivated mushrooms. yumm!! Also, could I buy some fresh morels online, get them shipped here and be able to collect spores or just take a tissue sample and place on agar and keep doing agar transfers until I get good healthy morel mycelium?

dont trust that site its crap. and you can easily get a culture goin from a live tissue sample.

What type of fc are you using MH?  Also it is much easier to warm an area than cool one to maintain proper Rh.  If you have a cool area in your home or even garage,  give me a little environmental info so I can help with the fc.  If you have a cool area there are many low tech economical ways to go about it.

well in my house i pretty much average 65 to 75 all year. at night in the winter it might get to 60. im not worried about rh i can work that out i need to acheive the temps where these little buggers will fruit. i need to acheive like 40 to 60 degrees. about an average of 50 to 55. and we are on alt energy so i cant use too much energy in the process... what you think ch?
