I think we should have neither Communism nor Capitalism. We should

find nice ballance in between. Where we still earn our money but you

don't have one man making more money than an entire city. Communism is

a great idea on paper but the truth is PEOPLE ARE TO GREEDY. People

want money and people want power. I would be fine with Communism but

Donald Trump and Mike Bloomberg would not. Since they have the money,

they have the power.

I think a mixed economy would certainly be better than what we have right now. A major problem is the politicians have their campaigns for elections financed by various corporations and special interest groups. If the campaigns of politicians were completely funded by taxpayers then politicians would not owe corporations and special interests any favors. This would give politicians the freedom to act in the public interest.

Communism is a terrible idea on paper or not!  The way I see it as it pertains to the U.S.. There are motivated people who work hard for a better life, and there are lazy people that don't work .  Why should someone work hard, if they are supposed to support ten people that refuse to help!?  The communes of the sixties went bust because most of the "hippies" refused to work. The U.S. is the way it is now because way too many people refuse to offer any help, offering only constant complaining.  The bounty is there for anyone willing to work hard, there are choices to be made and consequences.:peace:

Just to be clear, communism doesn't mean a huge welfare state.  Marx himself said that under communism, "Those who don't work, don't eat."  The idea behind his ideas was that workers were being deprived of the full product of their labor by capitalists who leech off them without adding any value.  As I said, this was based on his labor theory of value, which falsely assumes that all labor is equally valuable.  Nonetheless, lets not confuse ourselves into thinking that communism means that some people live off the work of others.  That is precisely the situation that Marx was seeking to remedy.

YES! That's why communism is a bad idea. If there is no room for incentive, we all become drones. The only incentive would to be a Party leader, so you can get things that others can't. I am not a fan of European philosophy or economics. Utopian societies can not exist if they include humans. You get more than a few humans together in a group and one will start stealing, one will start being a bully, and so on! If everybody got everything they wanted, there will still be people unhappy they don't have it all!:peace:
