Although thin, you should try fruiting from a guitar.  I used to have dozens of Harley cylinders laying around and thought about fruiting from those.  I got rid of them at the last swap meet, except for the pan and shovel cylinders that fit my '54 panhead, and I'm not tearing it down to grow mushrooms!

If I ever make it back down to Texas, I have a '38 Indian Chief torn down in my son's garage.  It would be cool to put it all together except the heads and then have a substrate fruiting out the cylinders.

I love the idea of growing from a head!  I have a bad one that was from my BSA Gold Star, maybe I will try that.  :strokebeard:
But I love the idea of a guitar.  I have an 1962 Gibson SG body and neck that is not restorable.  That might be a good idea.


I am not sure how I could do that.  But You got my inventive juices flowing now. 

When are you going to post a pic of that panhead?  I would love to see that bad boy. 

In the mean time a friend of mine just picked up this one.  We’re taking both our rides out for a good spin weekend before the weather turns up here.

A '54 panhead eh? Sweet ride! A unique sound of it's own I bet.

No way I would even consider tearing mine down to grow shrooms out of LOL! I do have two old '74 AMF-Harleys tore down. A gas tank might look cool with some mushrooms growing from it. :lol:

A little update for Y'all.....

Today I noticed mycelium growing through the nose and cracks on the skull. :grin:

Shouldn't take long for the mycelium to fully colonize the skull now...hopefully!
