Extending life/increasing flushes... Would it work?

I've been reading a lot lately and I stumbled across the Shroom Wizard site that you may or may not be familiar with. In his growing guide, he recommends using honey water to add sugars to the cake for increased yields and faster colonization times. This got me thinking... What if you inject some honey water or maybe even some leftover straw water (water that you pasteurized your straw in) into your cakes to add some more food for them to use while producing fruit bodies? I did, however, think about the contam situation in using honey water, but is there a pretty good chance of it working. There must be some sort of thread regarding this matter. Tell me what you think.

No, what I meant was using the honey water or straw water once the cakes are already colonized or if they are in between flushes. Just take a couple or so cc's and shoot 'em up so they have more juice for further flushes. Thanks for the reply though!

If dunking cakes works I don't see why this wouldn't especiallyif you sterilize everything an shoot it into the center of the thing???....

i was thinking that is someone PC'ed a jar of dung water.."the stuff left behind what you pasturize that shit"...and let it cool, could they dunk, or make some new cakes with it...whould it even help?

you'd be better off adding either honey or straw water to the cakes before sterlizing the substrate...but I have heard too much sugar can bring the potency down so you'd probably be better off with straw runoff

HE might try it on one cake....it is only one cake, but that water is black, so it will be hard to see contams..

Yea, I was thinking the same, Stupaod. I will be trying the straw water, but not the honey water. I get 4 flushes each time I grow, the 4th being pretty weak at about 1.5 dry grams. I'm thinking I will do 10 PF jars, 5 adding the water (after the 3rd and 4th flushes) and 5 just regular dunking. If I end up with a stronger final flush, or maybe a 5th flush among the five jars that I did add the water to, I'll notify you guys to maybe have some of you try it out, too.

I haven't experimented much and I really want to try new things, so why not start here? We'll see.

worst? a contam(which is unlikely to be caused from the runoff)....it should work man try it out....I was actually thinking of doing the same but haven't got around to it yet

Use Karo, it wont caramelize when sterilized at high temperatures.
