No dunking or patching for 2nd flush?

I have a 12 x 22 tray of poo fruiting substrate is 5 in thick, and I had a wonderful first flush weight was 2oz 8 gr dry.
When they went into the drying chamber I got sick, stomach flu, violently throwing up and I hated the world. Mushrooms where the last thing on my mind, a buddy came by to buy some and I was bagging them up, the smell of those shrooms made me puke 3 more times, it was the usual smell, it just got to me though.
Well in the middle of all of this I forgot to dunk and patch casing, when I opened tub after feeling a little better there was another entire pinset there, Im worried about the exposed substrate, the sides of casing are pulling away and it looks dry so Ive been misting like a madman, cant wait to see how it turns out, my 2nd and 3rd flushes are always smaller than the first, so maybe I stumbled on a new technique.

Never have been baned for saying it before, Ive never read a rule saying I cant say that, in fact I was looking for the rules and I cant seem to find them since they changed the site.

Back to the point.

It dried, formed a pin-set, and now you're misting it...Sounds like laziness, not a new tech :wink:

Anyways, As long as you can get the proper moisture back in then you should be fine, But if it "looks" dry, then trust me, it's fucking dry, lol...

I'd personally scratch , dunk and then recase....They're 92% water, it's not something you would like to lack...

But either way you'll get mushies, just one way you'll get more =-o...lol

I cant scratch, the thought crossed my mind but my pinset is sooooo heavy, call it laziness or whatever but I know this is one of the best 2nd flushes Ive had out of 50 casings and I didnt do shit to it.

P.S. I normally give my mushies out, this dude wont let me because he sees how much money I spend on supplies and he wont take them for free. He's the only one who knows I grow.

let it fruit man, there's nothing wrong with not being able to take care of it for a few days. They still love you. No way I'd ever sacrifice a pin set because I could have done it better. "Could'ves" are for better planning next time, not scrapping the reality in front of you.
