Are you proud to be an American? Do you truly appreciate the freedoms that we as Americans have? Do you happen to have a slight suspicion that things are changing in this country and it might not be for the better though? Would you like to learn the truth, and would you like to help? Helping can be as simple as reading and UNDERSTANDING the following article and then forwarding it to everyone you know. Understanding is the first and most important step to initiating change and I hope you agree that it must change. -----------A FEW BASIC FACTS--------------- There is a cancer in this country that has been quietly growing for over 55 years, and that cancer is the United Nations. It was founded by communists, is controlled by communists, and to this day carries forth with the communist agenda. Read on..... The United Nations Charter was ratified in San Francisco, CA on June 26, 1945. The primary author of this document, and the first U.N. Secretary General was Alger Hiss, who in January of 1950 was convicted of being a Soviet spy and served over 3 1/2 years in a federal prison. The second U.N. Secretary General, Trygve Lie, was a self proclaimed socialist from Norway. The Soviet Union's unconditional support of Lie for the position of Secretary General for two terms, is evidence enough of his true allegiance to communist beliefs. The third U.N. Secretary General was another socialist named Dag Hammarksjold from Sweden. In a letter he wrote to a friend while Secretary General, he stated "It is a little bit humiliating when I have to say that Chou-En-lai, to me, appears as the most superior brain I have so far met in the field of foreign politics." In case you are not familiar with who Chou-En-lei is, he, in association with Mao Tse-tung, murdered between 34 and 65 MILLION of their fellow Chinese... all in the name of peace. The next Secretary General of the U.N., appointed in 1961, was U Thant, a Marxist from Burma. An interesting quote made by Thant and reported by the Associated Press in 1970 is as follows.... "Lenin was a man with a mind of great clarity and incisiveness, and his ideas have had a profound influence on the course of contemporary history," continuing he states "(Lenin's) ideals of peace and peaceful coexistence among states have won widespread international acceptance and they are in line with the aims of the U.N. Charter." Now, in case you have forgotten, Soviet dictator Vladimir Lenin and his successor, Joseph Stalin, murdered millions of their fellow Russians, all in the name of peace... And the Secretary General of the U.N. thought he was a great man. The fifth U.N. Secretary General was an Austrian by the name of Kurt Waldheim. When the Nazi army invaded Austria, Waldheim did not fight them or flee the country. Instead he joined them, became an officer and fought in Hitler's Nazi army. A quick recap before we continue....We have had a convicted communist spy, two communist controlled socialists, a Marxist who thought it is acceptable to murder your own people, and a Nazi soldier as the heads of the United Nations. Continuing on to 1981, as successor to Waldheim, you have Javier Perez de Cuellar. He was still Secretary General in 1989 when another massacre of Chinese civilians by their government occurred. His comments on the Tiananmen Square incident were this.. "Tiananmen was exaggerated. I think it was really cruel repression, but from there to say it was a tremendous, dramatic, tragic violation of human rights is an exaggeration." (On June 4, 1989, students in Tiananmen Square, Beijing organized a peaceable, non-violent protest against government corruption and a plea for the introduction of true freedom. The Chinese military was sent in and subsequently murdered approximately 7,000 students and jailed and tortured thousands more...all in the name of peace.) Next was Egyptian socialist Boutras Boutras Ghali. His desire for a permanent U.N. Army and a global taxing authority were his chief concerns while in office, not peace. The most recent and current Secretary General is Kofi Annan. Having spent most of his adult life involved in the U.N. it is no surprise that Annan was the chief of U.N. peace keeping operations in 1994, the year of the Rwandan genocide. Despite messages to Kofi Annan from U.N. commanders in Rwanda alerting him to the impending slaughter of innocent civilians, Annan ordered the "peace keepers" to stand down. That order resulted in the murder of approximately 800,000 innocent men, women and children. As you can see, the American ideals of freedom and liberty are not the goals of the United Nations, never have been and never will be. If you think they are, then ask yourself why the Soviet Union has three votes on issues concerning U.N. actions and the United States has only one. It has been that way since 1945. America, the most powerful and generous country in the world has the same say as any third-world nation while the communists get three. Does that tell you anything? America, do you see what is happening? Do you realize that more American tax dollars have been given in support of the United Nations than all countries combined? And over 100,000 American lives have been lost in United Nations "peace keeping" or "police" actions. Yet the U.N. policy of "America last" is demonstrated on a daily basis and we put up with it. Enough is enough. Show me one nation that is better off with U.N. intervention. Have they curbed worldwide hunger? Have they created peace? No! Hunger is as widespread as ever, and the U.N. has been involved in, as well as contributed to, the starting of over 140 wars since 1945. Are they striving for freedom and equality among people? No! They sacrifice the lives of good, honest soldiers and Americans to implement their communist agenda. We must get America out of the United Nations. Write or E-mail your representatives and state officials, and tell everyone you know. America is at risk from this dangerous organization that is growing stronger and stronger as each day passes. Get involved and get us out of the U.N. The truth is evident, but if you desire more information, check out www.enter.net/~conservative/un.html or buy these books from Amazon.com or get them from your local library, "The United Nations Conspiracy" by Robert W. Lee, or "Global Gun Grab", by William Norman Grigg. These are good sources for a start. And most of all, forward this E-mail to everyone you know. Thank you.
