Well sir, my hat's off to you. I feel your pain and it infuriates me! There needs to be more men in this world but it seems were an out numbered dying breed!

I got stabbed and cut and have visible, large scars from fighting a drunk muay thai fighter and his friend while I was unarmed and they had a knife. I fought them for beating up a 100lb 18 year old girl. If I saw someone abusing their wife today I would still run over and fight them, but more to indulge in a blood-lust than to be helpful.

I've stood up for what I deemed right and it cost me my job, friends, sex and many other things.

Fair fights aren't realistic b/c there are too many people who lack self-control, but carry weapons.

Honor and Pride can't be used to pay bills so most people discard them w/o realizing that then they become truly poor.

Real men still exist, but there aren't many others so the recognition is failing. We're teamed up against at all times by hoards of ignorant retards who think that being a real man means being Gangsta. That or pussies who can't discern the difference between a real man and a douchebag, and therefore lump us all together.

Being a man doesn't pay materially, and it's often overlooked, so most people have no interest in the position.

If you were referring to my post also, you should re-read it. I haven't given up on anything. I'm just saying, the only reward for being a man is in your own head, which is why most people give up.

I'll still jump into any fight I deem justifiable. I'll still tell a boss to go fuck himself before I get talked down to. I still do what I believe is right, regardless of laws or what society thinks of it. I get shit on all the time for being like this though. No need to romanticize it like this thread is doing.
