Yeah, the same disease that is functionally eradicated from the U.S., and almost the world. 

Polio does however, illustrate the power of "make believe".  You know, since science isn't real and vaccines don't work.  That "make believe" crap was good at smallpox as well.

I think most of the anti-vaccine debate isn't as a result of "Oh man, teh gov't is going to put some crazy shit in my vaccine!" and more along the lines of "why the FUCK would I go get a vaccine for the FLU!"

dangerous this virus is regardless of how they decided to handle shit

But that's the key issue here.  You have plenty of people afraid to get the vaccine because of conspiracy theories. 

This is contrary to the idea of herd immunity.
