Well so far the small black pieces have a very slight taste of coffee bean,  the purple powder has no taste and the brown stringy pieces have no taste(almost like ruff ground brown rice texture).  Much more to go and pics to come.

I like to add it to my coffee in the mornings. Gives me a 20% increase in the spring in my step and the twinkle in my eye. :hotidea:

See, that's what I'm talking about! The coffee- espresso grind, maybe?

Edit- can you pick out enough of the stringy stuff to boil a spoonful and see if it's rice?

And correct me if I wrong, but doesn't myc naturally grow out looking for nutrients? So doesn't it make sense that adding nutrients (making available nutrients more dense in teh substrate) would actually slow the myc's growth?
