My guess at what it is=  Gypsum, purple/blue chalk(line chalk), dry coffee grounds and some silica sand.

One pound of these materials would cost about $2.00 if bought separate.  Also all the items(except silica) have been used for shroom cultivation for years.

not chalk and no coffie and there are over 8 differant things in it that i can see by sifting it, but maybe more, but sure all can be got under 10$ for 10lb or more

I have a bag of it in front of me and I am sure of the items I mentioned are in there.
I will try to separate and take a picture to show a side by side of the matreials.

i took out the purple stuff and put it on the tip of my finger and couldnt get it to leave a mark like chalk. are you telling me you went out a bought some:facepalm:

LOL.....It is powdered construction chalk for a chalk line.  So yes I have some and no it doesn't make marks like my kids sidewalk chalk.LOL

OK kids, that's enough fighting. Let the adult here explain things. I don't know about the rest of the ingredients, but the purple stuff is NOT chalk, not sidewalk chalk and NOT construction chalk.

Whatever it is, it's some kind of a crystalline type substance. The purple on it can actually be scraped off and what is left is a clear crystal, almost like rock salt, but clear and not opaque.

Now behave like the big boys I know you guys can be and stop all this bickering.

CH - did you get your fastblast from the same place we got ours??

I got mine through a trade.  The purple/blue stuff(chalk) sticks to the silica like a magnet,  so I am still sticking to my story.

It's part of the traditional discovery process.
You look at a thing. You touch it. Look some more, turn it in the light. You feel it between your fingers, then you smell it. If it smells ok, you taste it.
We've used this method for a hundred thousand years, it works well.
Take this purple stuff. If somebody would taste it, we'd know whether or not it's chalk.
